An Etihad Airways flight scheduled to depart from Chennai to Abu Dhabi was aborted after a fire broke out on the aircraft’s left wing, triggering panic at the airport.
The flight, carrying around 280 passengers, was preparing to take off when flames were noticed on the left-side wing area. The pilot immediately alerted passengers about the situation.
Following the announcement, all passengers evacuated the aircraft safely. The airline said no one was injured.
Airport authorities informed the fire and rescue team, which extinguished the blaze. The flight service was cancelled, and an inquiry is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
