Chief Minister Vijay on Monday visited the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee headquarters, Sathyamurthy Bhavan, in Chennai. Party workers and leaders accorded him a warm reception.
During the visit, Vijay paid tribute to a portrait of former Chief Minister K. Kamaraj kept at the office. Congress state president K. Selvaperunthagai welcomed him with a bouquet and accompanied him inside.
Senior party functionaries, including AICC in-charge Girish Chodankar, MLA Rajesh Kumar and treasurer Ruby Manoharan, were present during the meeting.
Vijay was also presented with a book titled “Kamaraj: An Era,” as part of the programme at the Congress office.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister visited the Indian Union Muslim League headquarters at Mannadi, where party president Kader Mohideen welcomed him and Vijay thanked the party for its support in forming the government.
