Chennai: Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Arlekar on Sunday said collective responsibility is essential to strengthen the country, calling on people to heed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal in the current global situation.
In a statement, the Governor asked citizens to give priority to working from home wherever possible and to reduce fuel consumption. He also urged people to avoid non-essential foreign travel.
He further called for greater use of indigenous products and suggested cutting down on cooking oil usage. The statement also encouraged a shift towards natural farming practices.
Additionally, the Governor advised avoiding unnecessary gold purchases. He said such collective commitment and dedicated action would reinforce India’s stability and accelerate progress towards a self-reliant India.
