The Tamil Nadu government has appointed IPS officer Azra Garg as the new Inspector General (IG) of the state Intelligence wing.
The change comes as the newly formed government led by TAVEK continues a series of administrative reshuffles involving IAS and IPS officers. After IAS transfers were issued on Monday, IPS postings were announced on Tuesday.
Avinashkumar, who had been serving as Intelligence IG following an appointment by the Election Commission, has now been transferred.
Azra Garg, who was serving as the IG of the North Zone, has been posted in his place. The state government issued an official order confirming the appointment.
