The Tamil Nadu government has appointed Siddique as the new Finance Secretary, according to an official order issued in Chennai.
Former Chief Secretary Muruganandam has been posted as Secretary in the Revenue Department. Muruganandam had earlier served as Chief Secretary under the DMK government.
During the Assembly election period, the Election Commission relieved Muruganandam from duty, after which he went on leave. Subsequently, Saikumar was appointed as the new Chief Secretary.
With the new government in place, a reshuffle of IAS officers has been carried out. The Chief Minister already has Senthilkumar and Lakshmi Priya as secretaries, and the government has now appointed a third secretary and an additional secretary, the order said.
