The Tamil Nadu government has issued an official order appointing senior advocate Vijay Narayan as the new Advocate General.
The appointment comes after the state’s new government, led by Chief Minister Vijay, assumed office. Following the change in administration, P.S. Raman, who had been serving as Advocate General, resigned from the post.
Vijay Narayan previously served as Tamil Nadu’s Advocate General from 2017 to 2021, giving him prior experience in the role.
He is also a relative of former Attorney General of India K.K. Venugopal, according to the report.
