New Delhi: Congress MP Manickam Tagore has announced that two Congress representatives will be part of the TVK cabinet.
In a statement, Tagore said the DMK had earlier declared that Tamil Nadu would not accept a share in governance before the 2026 election, and that people have now delivered their verdict. He claimed the public has indicated that alliance partners should have a role in the government.
Tagore said TVK leader Vijay has kept his promise of sharing power with coalition parties. He described the inclusion of two Congress ministers as a landmark development, coming after 59 years.
Calling it an emotional and historic moment for Congress workers, Tagore said Tamil Nadu should move away from “commission politics” and towards a corruption-free administration. He added that the new government represents “new hope.”
