A 30-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a moving private bus in Delhi, triggering outrage and drawing comparisons to the 2012 Nirbhaya case. Police said the bus driver and conductor have been arrested.

According to the complaint, the woman, who works at a factory in the Mangolpuri area, had come to the B-Block bus stop in Saraswati Vihar after finishing work. She approached a man standing at the bus entrance to ask the time.

Police said the man pulled her into the bus and drove it towards Nangloi, around 7 km away. The woman alleged that the driver and conductor raped her inside the moving bus and that she struggled for nearly two hours before being dropped near the Nangloi Metro station.

Based on her statement, Rani Bagh police registered a case and intercepted the private bus, which reportedly had a Bihar registration number. Investigators have booked the two accused under rape and gang-rape provisions, and are examining CCTV footage from the area.

The woman is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. She is married and a mother of three, and the incident has left her and her family deeply shaken, police said.
