India’s Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi on Friday issued a sharp warning to Pakistan, saying it must decide whether it wants to remain part of “geography and history” if it continues to encourage terrorism against India.

He made the remarks during an interaction at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, where he took questions from the audience.

A question was raised on what the Army would do if circumstances similar to those that led to the start of “Operation Sindoor” were to emerge again.

Responding, Gen Dwivedi said he had already addressed the issue earlier, and reiterated that if Pakistan keeps producing and enabling terrorists to act against India, the choice about its own future would rest with Pakistan itself.
