Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning a two-day official visit to China starting May 19, where he is expected to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The trip comes soon after US President Donald Trump concluded a three-day visit to China beginning May 13. During that visit, Trump met Xi and held talks on bilateral ties, trade and the broader international political situation, accompanied by leading American business figures.

Following the signing of multiple agreements, Trump returned to the United States after completing his tour.

Putin’s visit is expected to focus on strengthening cooperation between Russia and China. Reports indicate that several key agreements may also be signed during the meetings, drawing international attention due to the back-to-back high-level visits to Beijing.
