Tensions have risen in Abu Dhabi after a drone attack targeted the Barakah nuclear power plant. The incident comes amid a fragile pause in fighting linked to the wider US–Israel conflict with Iran over its nuclear programme.
According to officials, the drone hit an outer wall of the facility, triggering a fire at the site. Emergency response teams brought the situation under control.
Authorities said no one was injured and that there was no radiation release. They added that the nuclear power plant continues to operate as usual.
The identity of those who launched the drone has not been disclosed so far. The report also notes that Iran had earlier carried out strikes on US bases operating in the UAE and other areas in response to American attacks.
