Chennai: Actor Ravi Mohan on Friday said he would not act in films until his divorce case is settled, and made a series of allegations about the turmoil in his personal life.
The 45-year-old actor, known for films including Jayam and Thani Oruvan, is currently in a legal divorce dispute with his wife Aarthi. In recent months, he had been seen attending events alongside singer Kenisha Francis, drawing public attention.
Ravi Mohan referred to a recent Madras High Court direction that Kenisha should not speak about Aarthi. Following that, Kenisha released a video describing her situation and later posted that she had separated from him, left Chennai, and was stepping away from social media due to online criticism and alleged “cyber bullying.”
In his interview, Ravi Mohan said he had stayed silent for the sake of truth and his children, but claimed he was being provoked and targeted. He alleged that Kenisha was forced to leave the city due to online harassment and said he would not remain quiet if his family was criticised.
He further claimed his marriage was the result of “blackmail,” and said he had left home with nothing while others lived comfortably. He also alleged that a “three-letter actress” had ruined his family, and warned that if anything happened to him or Kenisha, he would hold “them” responsible. He said he would return to acting only after his personal issues are resolved.
