Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar on Friday inspected parts of the Thousand Lights constituency in Chennai, including Avvai Shanmugam Salai and S.S. Puram.
Speaking to reporters, he said the constituency has many pending works and several civic issues. He added that a temporary road would be laid within a month.
He also said necessary facilities would be arranged in sports grounds and that public welfare associations would be brought together to help address residents’ grievances.
On the question of cabinet expansion, Prabhakar said the Chief Minister knows what needs to be done and when. Regarding the AIADMK MLA-related dispute, he said both sides have submitted petitions and a decision would be taken at the right time.
