Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar on Friday said a decision on the issue concerning AIADMK MLAs would be taken at the appropriate time.
Speaking to reporters after inspecting Avvai Shanmugam Road and S.S. Puram areas in Chennai’s Thousand Lights constituency, he said the constituency has several issues and requires extensive development works.
He announced that a temporary road would be laid within a month. He also said sports grounds would be upgraded with necessary facilities.
According to him, arrangements would be made for sports equipment and an indoor sports hall to support athletes. He added that public welfare associations would be involved to address residents’ grievances.
On the AIADMK MLAs matter, he said petitions have been submitted by both sides and that a suitable decision would be taken at the right time.
