Tamil Nadu’s Class 10 (SSLC) public examination results will be announced on May 20, School Education Minister Rajmohan said in Chennai.
Around nine lakh students, including private candidates, appeared for the examinations that began on March 11 across the state. With answer paper evaluation completed, the Directorate of Government Examinations is finalising arrangements for publishing the results.
The minister said he held discussions with Chief Minister Vijay regarding the release of the results before making the announcement to the media.
Students can access their results using their registration number and date of birth on the official portals www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge.tn.gov.in and results.digilocker.gov.in. Results will also be available via the official WhatsApp number 78452 52525, and will be sent by SMS to mobile numbers registered with schools.
Separately, the minister said schools will reopen on June 1 for most classes, while Classes 1 to 3 will resume on June 4 after the summer vacation. He also released newly prepared textbooks for Classes 1 to 3 based on the updated syllabus.
