The BJP is set to conduct a detailed review of the Tamil Nadu Assembly election results, with a high-level meeting scheduled in Coimbatore on May 20 and 21.

The party did not register a notable victory in the election, and its alliance has slipped to third place, prompting the leadership to assess what went wrong.

According to party sources, the review will focus on the reasons for the defeat, how the campaign unfolded, the extent of cooperation from alliance partners, and the role of leaders during the campaign.

The meeting will be chaired by BJP national general secretary (organisation) PL Santosh. He is expected to meet candidates who contested the election as well as party functionaries in person and gather their feedback.
