Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has been meeting representatives from various sectors at the Secretariat.

On Tuesday, a delegation linked to disability rights met the Chief Minister. Those present included State Advisory Committee member Smitha Sadasivam, spinal injury association founder Gnanabharathi, federation leader Simmasandhiran, IIT Madras Accessibility Research Centre lead researcher Hemachandran Kara, Social Justice Movement leader Saravanan, and disability rights federation member Santhakumar.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister reportedly got up from his chair, sat with the visitors seated in the opposite row, and posed for a photograph.

The delegation raised multiple complaints to the Chief Minister regarding officials in the disability welfare department, which he listened to attentively.

Later, Simmasandhiran released a mobile phone video of the meeting on social media. The footage, showing the conversation inside the Chief Minister’s room, has caused significant shock among officials.
