Former AIADMK minister and EPS-supporting MLA O.S. Manian has alleged that minister Adhav attempted to enter the AIADMK and sought the post of deputy general secretary.
Speaking in an interview, Manian said Adhav’s political journey should be examined, claiming he had moved across parties and had earlier been associated with the VCK and later the DMK. Manian further alleged that Adhav held talks with the AIADMK general secretary about joining the party.
According to Manian, Adhav asked for the deputy general secretary position, and when it was refused, he returned to the DMK. Manian said the AIADMK “fully rejects” the allegations Adhav has made against EPS.
Manian also claimed that criticism of the DMK during the election campaign played a key role in the party’s victory, and accused Adhav of making charges against EPS without understanding this. He further alleged that some individuals within the AIADMK, due to internal differences, had engaged in “horse-trading” for personal gain or to protect the government, and that Adhav was spreading defamatory claims against EPS to cover it up.
