Namakkal district has secured representation from four ministers following the latest cabinet expansion, according to a report published on Thursday.
In the first round of swearing-in, Arunraj from Tiruchengode was included in the initial list of ministers.
During the subsequent expansion, Rasipuram’s Lokesh Tamilselvan and Kumarapalayam’s Vijayalakshmi were given ministerial berths. Avinashi MLA Kamali, identified as the daughter of Senthilnathan, Namakkal East district secretary of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, was also appointed.
While Kamali is counted under Tiruppur district, the report noted that this is the first time four people associated with the same district have taken charge as ministers.
