A police complaint has been filed against DMK deputy general secretary and MP A Raja over an allegedly indecent and controversial social media post.
According to the complaint, Velu Gubendran, state coordinator of the VCK’s Equality Lawyers Association, submitted a petition to the Mayiladuthurai DSP.
He alleged that posts made on Facebook and X contained derogatory remarks about the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), the Muslim League—described as an alliance partner—and the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which he said is ruling Tamil Nadu.
The complainant further claimed the post was intended to demean womanhood and to create unrest and disturbance in society. He requested that a case be registered against A Raja and action be taken.
