Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the world is keen to be part of India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation, citing rising global interest in India’s youth and technological progress.
Speaking at the 19th Rozgar Mela in New Delhi, Modi distributed appointment letters to 51,000 selected candidates across various government departments through video conference. He described the day as significant for thousands of young people across the country.
Modi said India’s youth are playing a key role in accelerating the country’s development and will be central to fulfilling the resolve of a “developed India” in the coming years. He congratulated the appointees and their families on the achievement.
He noted that the new recruits will take up responsibilities in sectors such as railways, banking, defence, health and education, and become partners in the nation’s growth journey.
Modi also said agreements signed during his visits to the UAE, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy would directly benefit Indian youth, adding that these pacts support the goal of a brighter and more skilled India.
