New Delhi: The Union government launched the ‘Rozgar Mela’ in 2022 with the stated goal of providing 10 lakh government jobs within a short period.
Since its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the recruitment drive has been held 18 times across various states, and a total of 12 lakh people have received government employment through these camps.
The 19th Rozgar Mela was held in Delhi on Saturday. Participating through video conference, the Prime Minister issued government job appointment letters to more than 51,000 young people.
Addressing the gathering, Modi said agreements signed during his visits to the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy would directly benefit India’s youth. He added that the deals were aligned with the assurance of a brighter and more skilled India.
