Kerala Chief Minister Satheesan on Saturday morning visited the Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple and offered prayers, citing his election victory as the occasion for fulfilling a vow.
He arrived at the temple around 7 am and was received in accordance with temple protocol by Guruvayur Devaswom chairman Gopinath and executive officer Arun Kumar.
After worshipping the presiding deity, the Chief Minister performed a ‘Thulabharam’ offering, donating butter equal to his body weight. Temple sources said 71 kg of butter was used for the ritual.
