Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay will travel to New Delhi on May 27 to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking his first such meeting since assuming office.
The visit follows the convention in which newly sworn-in chief ministers meet the President, the Prime Minister and senior Union ministers to seek cooperation from the Centre on administrative and financial matters.
According to the report, Vijay plans to raise demands related to major projects and is expected to seek central funding for Tamil Nadu during his meetings in Delhi.
He is also scheduled to meet senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
During the trip, Vijay is set to inaugurate a Thiruvalluvar statue at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
