Four AIADMK MLAs resigned from their posts and recently joined actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), triggering fresh political sparring in Tamil Nadu.

DMK leader M.K. Stalin, referring to the development, criticised it as a fast-paced “horse-trading” exercise. His remarks drew a counter from the AIADMK side.

Amid the exchange, Congress MP Jothimani weighed in, stating that such defections are wrong regardless of who carries them out.

The comments come as the resignations and subsequent switch to TVK continue to be debated across party lines.
