Iran carried out a missile and drone attack targeting Kuwait, describing it as retaliation for recent US action, according to the report.

The conflict involving the US and Israel against Iran, which began on February 28, had been temporarily paused for peace agreement talks. However, the US said it conducted defensive strikes in and around Bandar Abbas, an Iranian port city near the Strait of Hormuz.

Following those strikes, Iran launched missiles and drones toward Kuwait. Kuwait’s military said its air defence systems intercepted the drones, but did not specify what was targeted or provide details on any damage.

The renewed escalation comes amid a standoff over Iran’s nuclear policy and sanctions. While the US has urged Iran to abandon its nuclear approach, Iran has demanded the lifting of economic sanctions and the release of frozen assets—steps the US has not agreed to, raising war fears again in West Asia.
