Minister Anand on Wednesday issued a stern warning to party members, saying any involvement in corruption would lead to immediate removal from positions.
He was speaking at a party joining programme at the TVK headquarters in Panaiyur, on the outskirts of Chennai. Anand said there was no need to take bribes and asserted that the party would not tolerate corruption.
He added that Chief Minister Vijay would take action “the very next second” if any wrongdoing was found, and said the party’s focus would be on serving the people.
Calling for unity ahead of the upcoming panchayat elections, Anand urged cadres to work together for a major victory. He also said former MLAs and ministers were joining the party and promised that ministers would address constituency issues promptly.
Anand said those joining from other parties would be treated with due respect within TVK.
