The BJP leadership on Wednesday announced new state chiefs for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Tripura.

In a statement, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said Union minister and Lok Sabha MP Harsh Malhotra has been appointed as the party’s Delhi president.

For Haryana, Archana Gupta, who is currently serving as the state secretary, has been chosen to lead the party unit.

In Punjab, where Assembly elections are due next year, Keval Singh Dhillon has been appointed state president. Dhillon, who earlier belonged to the Congress, joined the BJP in 2022.

Abhishek Debroy has been named the BJP’s Tripura state president. The party said all the appointments take effect immediately.
