The Tamil Nadu government has removed Krishnaraja from his post as Director of Criminal Prosecutions after a misconduct complaint was raised against him.

Krishnaraja previously served as an Additional Public Prosecutor at the Madras High Court. He was appointed as Director of Criminal Prosecutions in November 2024 based on the recommendation of a selection committee headed by former High Court judge Aruna Jagadeesan.

On Friday, the Law Department initiated action and dismissed him from service citing the complaint.

Krishnaraja has also worked as a counsel for the Tamil Nadu transport corporations and as an Additional Government Pleader at the Madras High Court, officials noted.
