Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Girija, a teacher from Tamil Nadu, during his radio programme Mann Ki Baat.
In his remarks, Modi said he had recently met a teacher in Nagercoil and noted that he had met her nearly 30 years earlier as well.
He identified the teacher as “Girija amma,” and spoke about the long gap between the two meetings while appreciating her.
