Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday assured that the Union government will extend full cooperation to Telangana’s development journey, linking it to the broader goal of building a “developed India”.
In a message posted on social media to mark Telangana Formation Day, Modi conveyed his greetings to the people of the state. He said Telangana’s people are known for their creativity and business acumen.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the state’s “great history” and celebrated culture, describing it as a symbol of courage, determination and a spirit of struggle.
Modi said the Centre remains committed to supporting Telangana’s progress and prayed for the people’s good health, happiness and success.
Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh and officially formed as a separate state on June 2, 2014. The state has now completed 12 years since its formation; K Chandrashekar Rao was its first Chief Minister, and Revanth Reddy is the current Chief Minister.
