AIADMK deputy general secretary K.P. Munusamy on Tuesday dismissed claims that Chief Minister Vijay had sought an appointment to meet AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) but was denied time.

Speaking in Hosur, Munusamy said reports suggesting that the Chief Minister requested a meeting with EPS were incorrect. He maintained that at no point did the Chief Minister or anyone from the Chief Minister’s office seek permission or time to meet EPS.

Munusamy also referred to remarks about former Chief Ministers M.G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa, stating that if the Chief Minister had not criticised them, he should have met EPS. He added that such a meeting did not take place.

He specifically rejected Minister Nirmalkumar’s statement that time was sought and not granted, calling it “completely wrong information.”
