Chennai: Chief Minister Vijay on Tuesday remembered former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on his 103rd birth anniversary through a post on social media.

In his message, Vijay said he was recalling Karunanidhi’s contributions to the Tamil language, literature, cinema, politics, governance and administration, and the cause of state rights.

The Chief Minister also conveyed his respectful greetings on the occasion.

Separately, on behalf of the government, Minister Rajmohan paid tribute at Karunanidhi’s statue located at the Omandurar Government Estate complex in Chennai.
