A company has been penalised after a customer complained that his motorcycle repair was delayed for 69 days.
According to the report, Kannan, a daily-wage labourer from Kaliyavoor village in Srivaikuntam taluk of Thoothukudi district, had approached an auto service outlet in the Samathanapuram area of Palayamkottai in 2018 for repairs.
He alleged that the repair work was not completed within a reasonable time and that the delay stretched to 69 days.
Following the complaint, action was taken against the company and it was directed to pay a penalty.
