The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly session will begin on June 18 at 10 am, with Governor Arlekar set to deliver the customary opening address, Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar announced in Chennai.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat, the Speaker said the duration of the session has not been finalised yet. He noted that the number of days the House will sit will be decided in a Business Advisory Committee meeting.

Prabhakar also said petitions submitted by AIADMK members are under examination and that decisions on the party’s letters will be taken at an appropriate time.

Referring to public interest in legislative proceedings, he said people who watched the confidence vote live now want to follow Assembly business through live telecast as well. He added that arrangements for live streaming would be carried out in a timely and proper manner to meet these expectations.
