Washington: US President Donald Trump has said the United States is likely to sign a trade agreement with India soon.
In an interview, Trump said he likes Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and described him as a good friend. He added that their personal rapport has been a driving force in moving the deal forward.
According to Trump, the US is currently benefiting more from its economic ties with India.
Talks between the two sides are said to be progressing with urgency, and the proposed agreement is expected to significantly expand economic cooperation and market access.
