Lucknow: Union minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said India’s standing among countries on the international stage has increased after the BJP formed the government at the Centre.
He said a large number of citizens are politically aware and would acknowledge the change in India’s global stature since the BJP came to power.
Rajnath Singh added that the India seen before Narendra Modi became Prime Minister is not the same as the India of today, and that people have felt this shift.
He further claimed that in the last 8–9 years, the BJP-led central government has brought 25 crore people out of poverty. He said India is now more self-confident and secure.
The minister said he was stating this with strong confidence.
