Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman on Friday said the DMK has “only now come to its senses” regarding the Congress, while addressing a gathering in Chennai.
Seeman said he started a party at a young age and has been fighting for 16 years. He alleged that some political forces do not want NTK to grow, but insisted that his political rise can be delayed, not stopped.
Referring to a recent case in Coimbatore involving the killing of a 10-year-old girl, he questioned attempts to blame the child’s mother’s drinking for the incident and asked who pushed her into such a situation.
Turning to alliance politics, Seeman criticised Congress and claimed its MPs in Tamil Nadu survive on DMK’s support. He challenged Congress representatives to resign their MP posts and contest an by-election under the TVK alliance to demonstrate their vote base.
He also accused parties of seeking Rajya Sabha seats through bargaining and said the media ignores his statements while giving constant coverage to actor-politician Vijay’s movements. Seeman claimed he is treated as “untouchable” in media narratives and said he does not seek their attention.
