The CBI has arrested two more suspects in connection with the murder of Chandranath Rath, who served as personal aide to West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.

Rath was shot dead by a gang on May 6 in the Madhyamgram area of North 24 Parganas district, triggering widespread shock.

Police initially registered a case and arrested three alleged contract killers. The investigation was later transferred to the CBI.

According to the report, the prime accused, identified as Monu, recently surrendered before a gangster law court in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. He reportedly has 12 criminal cases pending.

Following this, CBI officials arrested Vikas Mishra from Lucknow and Kolu Singh from Ballia.
