Venezuela’s interim President Delcy Eloyna Rodriguez visited Prasanthi Nilayam in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, and offered prayers at the sanctum of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The spiritual centre, widely known as the “Abode of Supreme Peace”, draws devotees from across the world. Rodriguez’s visit came during her five-day official trip to India.
She was received at the airport by R.J. Ratnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, along with trust member Manohar Shetty and others.
According to a statement from the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Rodriguez took part in special bhajans and prayer sessions at the ashram. After the Mangala Aarti, she spent some time in silent meditation.
She later held discussions with trust officials and was presented a memento featuring Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s photograph. Trust representatives also said she has visited Prasanthi Nilayam earlier, citing her interest in Sai Baba’s message of love, peace and selfless service.
