Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, alleging it secured parliamentary seats in Tamil Nadu only due to the DMK’s backing.
Speaking at an event in Chennai, Seeman claimed Congress “got 10 MPs” through what he described as the DMK’s support, and questioned whether the party had the self-respect to give up those posts. He challenged Congress MPs to resign and then contest a by-election by aligning with the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.
Seeman also spoke about his own political journey, saying he started a party at a young age and has been struggling for 16 years. He asserted that his victory could be delayed but not stopped, and claimed that if he had been in power for a month, “no one would have been able to sleep.”
Turning his criticism towards Chief Minister Vijay, Seeman referred to Vijay’s pre-poll remarks and alleged that within two weeks of the results, Vijay had acted contrary to what he had said earlier. He questioned Vijay to cite a reason—other than his film career—for being elected, and demanded whether the Chief Minister was ready to order an inquiry and release a factual report on the Karur incident.
