New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said more than 1.6 lakh students have applied for post-examination services, including revaluation, following the release of this year’s Class 12 results.

CBSE noted that over 18 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 exams nationwide. The answer scripts were evaluated using the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, a computer-based method.

After the results were announced, many students and parents raised concerns that the marks were below expectations. In response, CBSE uploaded the evaluated answer sheets online and allowed students to submit revaluation-related requests within a specified window through a dedicated portal.

Some students complained that their registration numbers were not accepted, and others alleged that the uploaded answer sheets were unclear or did not appear to be theirs. In a statement, CBSE said the portal functioned smoothly from June 2 to June 7 under the supervision of technical experts and an IIT team.

CBSE added that during this period, students successfully submitted requests related to more than 3.8 lakh answer sheets.
