India is set to hold elections on June 18 to choose 24 Rajya Sabha members across several states, including Karnataka, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Amid the preparations, the nomination paper filed by a Congress candidate has been rejected, according to the report.
The election is being conducted as part of the scheduled process to fill Rajya Sabha seats in multiple states.
The report also notes that in Tamil Nadu, three Rajya Sabha MPs resigned before completing their terms, leading to a by-election situation there.
