Chief Minister Vijay has issued a statement ahead of June 12, observed as Anti-Child Labour Day.
He said childhood is meant for play, growth and attending school to receive education. He noted that some children are pushed into work due to family circumstances.
The Chief Minister stressed that children should not be employed in any occupation. He underlined the need to protect children from such exploitation and ensure they continue their education.
