TIRUPPUR: Hindu Munnani has urged the Centre to take stringent steps, stating that there should be no compromise on national security.

In a statement, the outfit’s leader Kadeswara Subramaniam said an alleged conspiracy had come to light in which Pakistan planned to target Indian passenger aircraft. He claimed the plot involved using modern tools and technology to create location confusion and trigger accidents.

He further alleged that 2,354 instances of signal disruption had been recorded over the past two years, and that there were indications of support from the Pakistan government.

Citing the growth of aviation services and their role in economic development, he said such attempts to destabilise the sector must be thwarted through close monitoring. He also called for exposing and curbing the Pakistan government on the global stage.

The statement urged the Union and State governments and intelligence agencies to remain on high alert, and demanded strict action against those who attack Vande Bharat trains. It also appealed for emergency measures keeping in mind threats from within the country and from abroad.
