HR&CE Minister Ramesh on Wednesday conducted an inspection at the Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, reviewing administration, facilities for devotees and ongoing works.
During the visit, the minister held discussions with officials on crowd management and amenities, and later offered prayers after standing in the devotees’ queue.
He also examined the renovation and preparatory works being carried out ahead of the temple’s kumbabishekam.
Speaking to reporters, Ramesh said the kumbabishekam is expected in the next two to three months. He added that about 90% of the work has been completed, with the remaining 10% to be finished soon so the event can be held as scheduled.
