Chennai: Minister Sengottaiyan on Thursday said applications seeking patta transfer will be processed faster, with a decision to be issued within 15 days.
He said petitions submitted by the public will be taken up for scrutiny within five days, after which the department will complete the process and communicate the outcome within the stipulated timeline.
The minister held a review meeting on patta transfer-related work and asked officials to act promptly on public requests without delay.
He added that discussions have been held within the department to streamline procedures and prevent delays in issuing pattas, and that senior officials would be involved to speed up implementation.
