CB-CID has constituted three special teams to investigate the theft of hard disks from the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) headquarters on Anna Salai in Chennai.
According to the report, the stolen hard disks allegedly contained documents linked to an alleged transformer procurement scam during the DMK regime.
Two persons have been arrested in connection with the case, and the investigation has been formally handed over to CB-CID.
DSP Prabhu has been appointed as the investigating officer. With three teams assisting him, officials said the probe has been intensified.
