Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that IRCTC will launch a new and upgraded high-speed website for public use from July 15.

The assurance came during an interaction with students at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. A student raised concerns about repeated difficulties while booking train tickets on the IRCTC portal.

The student cited problems such as captcha-related hurdles, website outages during Tatkal booking hours, and delays in receiving OTPs, saying these issues affect a large number of users.

In response, Vaishnaw contacted senior railway officials in front of the students and asked whether a new IRCTC website could be developed within 30 days. He later confirmed that the revamped site with improved features would be available from July 15.
