The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast heavy rain in three Tamil Nadu districts on Friday (June 13).
According to the bulletin, Tirupattur, Vellore and Tiruvannamalai may receive heavy rainfall during the day. Moderate rain is likely in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Villupuram and Ranipet.
For Saturday (June 14), heavy rain with thunder and lightning and strong winds is likely at one or two places in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai.
The RMC also said moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Pudukkottai, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Perambalur, Ariyalur and Kallakurichi.
Overall, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder, lightning and strong winds is likely at a few places across Tamil Nadu from June 13 to June 19, the bulletin added.
